Here's an animation commission I did for @altruedragon of Altrue and Tahara visiting the forest's hidden hot springs!

    I mean, yes, because it's actually lossless fileformat similar to GIF.
    But for animation like this we are talking about couple megabytes max if done and optimized properly.

    Converting GIF, MP4 or WebM to APNG is really stupid.
    The main benefit of APNG is that it is truly lossless, where GIF is limited to 256 colors and MP4/WebM are lossy video files with chroma subsampling. So you already have destroyed the visuals at that point, but additionally your APNG filesize gets bloated several times larger thanks to it trying to preserve compression artifacts that are near impossible to optimize.

    You would need PNG image sequence if your art software doesn't have direct APNG export and that website doesn't appear to accept PNG image sequence as upload.
