    Non of this would up happened if his father have just accepted that Sekk'ral refuse the arrange marriage.
    He could have just leave them alone after Sekk'ral left with Farin.

The king is so afraid his son won't stand a way to bring Farin back to life that he just turned on the mode, “Son, I know your future husband will die if we don't help him, but you're not ready.”. And this is where many have expressed exactly the thought I support: the old man should have let Sekk'ral and Farin go back the first time, allowing them to return to their home cave. But no, he went into an “I'm in charge here” state and sent the general to catch up with his son and take the fox away the second time.
