THE FOLLOWING IS A TRANSCRIPT OF A 911 CALL MADE BY BARNY SCHULTZ, AN ASSISTED LIVING MANAGER AT THE MANDELA COUNTY RESIDENCE HOME WHO WAS NEVER SEEN OR HEARD FROM AGAIN AFTER THE CALL. THIS HAS NOT BEEN ALTERED IN ANY WAY.

911 OPERATOR: 911, what is your emergency?
BARNY SCHULTZ: Please send help! There are two dangerous intruders in the building right now, and we’ve got the whole place on lockdown!
911 OPERATOR: Ok sir, what’s your name?
BARNY SCHULTZ: Barny Schultz.
911 OPERATOR: Schultz as in S-C-H-U-L-T-Z?
BARNY SCHULTZ: Yes.
911 OPERATOR: And are you one of the assisted living managers working at the Mandela County Residence Home?
BARNY SCHULTZ: Yes.
911 OPERATOR: Alright, can you give me a description of the intruders?
BARNY SCHULTZ: I barely had enough time to see them, but I know that they’re both female, one is a person and the other is a cat.
911 OPERATOR: A cat as in someone wearing a costume?
BARNY SCHULTZ: No, an actual cat standing on its two hind legs!
911 OPERATOR: Ok then… Can you give anything else about their description?
BARNY SCHULTZ: From what time I've seen of them, they are not man or cat!
911 OPERATOR: Ok… I’ll be sending in some backup immediately, can you explain what they’ve been doing?
BARNY SCHULTZ: They’ve been going around voring people!
911 OPERATOR: Excuse me?
BARNY SCHULTZ: THEY’VE - BEEN - GOING - AROUND - VORING - PEOPLE!!
911 OPERATOR: And what do you mean by “voring?”
BARNY SCHULTZ: THEY’RE SWALLOWING PEOPLE ALIVE! I can still hear the others screaming in their bellies! I’m freaking out!! I don’t wanna die-
911 OPERATOR: Sir, calm down. Help is on the way. Stay quiet so they don’t hear you. How many people have they eaten?
BARNY SCHULTZ: The tall one ate 7 people so far, and the cat ate two. I saw the tall one swallow 5 fucking people in one gulp!
911 OPERATOR: Alright then. Is there anything nearby that you could use as a weapon for-
(DOOR OPENS IN THE BACKGROUND. FOLLOWED BY STOMACH NOISES, LOW FEMININE MOANS, AND MUFFLED SCREAMING)
BARNY SCHULTZ: OH GOD! IT’S ONE OF THEM!!
911 OPERATOR: Sir, sir, stay calm. Don’t let them know your pre-
(CRASHING AND SCHULTZ’S SCREAMS IN THE BACKGROUND)
911 OPERATOR: Barny?
BARNY SCHULTZ: OH GOD NO!!! I’M BEING SWALLOWED! HELP! HELP! I DON’T - - (Inaudible)
(DIAL TONE)
911 OPERATOR: Barny? You still there? Hello? Hello? Barny?
(CALL ENDS)
IN THE AFTERMATH, 16 OF THE 30 RESIDENTS AND 4 OF THE 25 STAFF, INCLUDING BARNY SCHULTZ, WERE REPORTED MISSING. ALL THE SURVIVORS WERE HOSPITALIZED OR GIVEN PRESCRIPTIONS FOR MEDICATION TO TREAT WITH THE TRAUMA. DESPITE THE OPERATOR’S CLAIMS OF REINFORCING BACK UP, IT FAILED TO ARRIVE UNTIL AFTER THE INCIDENT. THEY DIDN’T WANT TO RISK HAVING ANY OFFICERS GETTING INTO HARM'S WAY OF THE VORACIOUS ALTERNATES. IT WASN’T WORTH THE RISK…
