Silva sometimes forgets that, even if they were both educated the same way,
Borgon doesn't have her same talent when it comes to studying ^^
But, hey, luckily there is his inseparable factotum to remind him of that legend!
Well yes, what Halloween is for people overseas has its origins in what was once the Celtic New Year.
The three nights of Samonios, as they are called here in Italy,
were once associated with the end of the harvests and celebrations for the coming year.
A period of rebirth, where according to legends the forces of nature gained new strength.
This is why in witchcraft they are also associated with the time of the year in which some rituals become more auspicious.
In the past this had no negative annotations, but with the arrival of Christianity and other monotheistic religions,
as you might imagine, the connotation of the Samonios became almost completely negative.
Although, Christianity itself has taken these days and turned them into holidays of their own.
And so November 1st becomes the Day of the Saints, and November 2nd becomes the Day of the Dead.
Obviously, these holidays refer to the hours of the day, while those of the night are still seen in a negative light.
And then there's The Wild Hunt.
Religions never took a position on the matter, leaving it to be a myth in itself that doesn't bother anyone.
And perhaps for this reason it has reached us, with people who still today on the nights of Samonios
don't leave their homes (especially if they live high in the mountains) for fear of meeting the horde of spirits that gives the myth its name ^^
