Description

Here's the anthro version of the more draconic side of the dryphon. I wanted to include some variability with the dryphon species so you're not locked to one look. Theres variation with the mouth, horns, feathers, fur, etc. you can have them look more gryphon like or more dragon like. There are some key differences between male and female that I'll get into when I finish uploading the reference images, and there's obviously openings to interpretation for non-binary characters.

Concept idea and design philosophy behind the dryphon
I mostly wanted something that combined gryphons and dragons which became the basis for the dryphon as you see in this image. A mix between draconic and gryphon features, with options to have variability from the parent races. So dryphons can come in various shapes and forms, whether having a beak or a muzzle, horns or no horns, dragon ear flaps or not, etc. The range of customizability was a big aspect in the design of the dryphon as shown in the pool collection. The color scheme is of my own oc Nasir, however that doesn't mean that all dryphons are two toned fur colors and wings, those are entirely up to the persons interpretation on what they would like to do with their color scheme. Body shape is largely similar, with variations that allows one to customize how their dryphon looks, even including options that isn't shown like different horn types, accessories and clothing, wing types, etc.

As for things like proper lore/species info, I tend to limit that to a more basic form for customizability. Dryphons in my head are largely a species that are open to the world, despite being a rare type of being due to the rare coupling of dragon and gryphon. They are open to other races, somewhat eager to integrate into different forms of society if they are welcome there. Male dryphons tend to be a more larger in form, mainly in muscle mass and weight, while female dryphons tend to be more agile and lean, but that's not always the case depending on the dryphons lifestyle and genetic disposition. Another key difference between male and female is males have longer tails than females, this was mainly to aid in the agility and nimbleness of female dryphons while male dryphons would be a somewhat bulkier build and would utilize their longer tails to assist with standing their ground. This was the more traditional idea for dryphons, and with todays day and age that obviously is open to more differences as the dryphons would have an openness to non-binary traits and interests.

The lore and character designs are always up for interpretation, that's just the design I generally lean towards as an aspect to dryphon society and the interesting cultural stories that can bring. Especially when these can be shifted with more modern ideals, and how different a dryphon can be with that in mind.
