I'm less upset about it now so I'll explain. I hated making this. I barely have any time to work on this stuff anymore and when I do it just feels like I'm just making soulless slop garbage. I haven't improved at all in 4 years, I'm just a pov one-trick, and I can't do pov stuff forever, it'll get old and boring fast. I want to be as good as guys like Nakedsav but that's not going to happen. And I'm too slow.
There was supposed to be so much more to this animation, an intro, voice acting, and it was meant to be longer, but I cut it all because it was unpolished and it all fucking sucked and I don't know what I'm doing, and SFM is a worthless tool whose bugs have destroyed hours and hours of my work and I'm never using it again.
There's all that, and then on top of that I'm going through severe emotional issues and trying to chase up other hobbies before it's too late. So yeah, because of all that I don't want to do any more 3d stuff at all, for the time being.

I don't comment on here often, and honestly, I never thought I ever would again, but seeing this, I couldn't help but say something, anything.
While I don't make artwork, or at least nothing I'm confident to ever post to the public, I understand the dissatisfaction and dislike of what you have created. I know the feeling of making something you yourself don't like while many others seemingly love it. Regardless of who says what, if you're not happy or having any joy in making something, then don't force yourself to continue with it. Only pursue what you find enjoyment and success in. I know these words won't change anything, but I do think that you did a great job on this. I hope you find something that grants you the enjoyment and ease you are looking for. So yeah, I'm not too familiar with SFM, but I only really hear horror stories of people losing hours of work in because of it not being that great/stable. I can't exactly give recommendations due to my lack of knowledge and personal experience with anything but Blender, but I'm sure you'll find something more suited for you. In any case, best of luck.

i know I'm some rando, but. 🫂 i know how you feel. it's frustrating to feel like you're not progressing. put some time and some distance between you and 3D modelling work, and see how you feel when the emotions aren't so raw and fresh.

for what it's worth, and i know it's not about this, but i really enjoyed this animation, and i enjoy first person stuff the most in general.

Same here – I love videos like these, and this one has turned out so well!

For Funsparce – of course if there's something else to work on that is more exciting, do that, but you shouldn't feel like a one-trick pony, there's room for creativity in the POV space, and plenty of people craving more of it! Maybe try for shorter animations you can finish more easily, when/if you want to get back into that is – get practice in doing specific positions/combinations with a view to finding out what works for you so you can build it into a longer movie later?

I think this is just Fantastic work! My personal favorite is taker/receiving pov. I always love to see your content and I really wouldn't mind seeing the content that was cut even if it is unpolished. Just go at your own pace. Try new things or just take a long breather, no matter what the people who support you always will. Maybe you could stop making NSFW in general to practice non pov stuff or try 2d. Whatever you do it's all up to you. We're here for ya, even if we are just a bunch of horny people on the Internet. Also SFM is 99% spaghetti by weight, volume, and function, so nobody can blame ya being frustrated by it. If you ever do return to 3d, Blender is a very well documented alternative to SFM, much less jank but also more involved in other ways. It's at least not "shortening your lifespan" levels of """quirky""".
