MemberThis has spawned discussions before and I admit this ending has it's flaws. I personally prefer the first ending when Fluttershy just says "Oh no." at the end.
On the other hand: One could make the argument Starlight thinks she can't afford to drop her "facade" even in private, so she holds onto the ploy with the staff.

MemberYeah but if she's comfortable enough to redo her own paint in her home (the actual show). y wouldn't she have the same comfort to do the un dramatized spell? Yeah, it's a what if alt, but it seems there's an attempt to match the writing style for this character n I feel this breaks that, just an opinion.
(Sorry I don't have ample time to keep up with e6 and or either discord, <heh> or reddit threads to where this discussion was held)
