  • I can't do carrots so I tend to steer clear of pot piles. Not an allergy just a preference. Cooked carrots taste too sweet to me. Love raw carrots though. Same with peas and beans in general. I can't stand the texture. I feel like I'm eating a wet dust bunny off the floor when I eat beans. Now if their cooked right and taste good enough? I'll still do it. Tiny tiny bites and I wont chew to avoid the texture, but I'll eat it if it tastes good. Refried beans genuinely make me nauseous. What was I talking about? Oh! Right! Chicken! Personally I make a mean barbecue chicken, got my own personal spice blend I made and a blended barbecue sauce. 1:1 ratio 'Sweet Baby Rays' and John boy and Billy Original Grillin Sauce'. Mix those 1:1, add 3 Tablespoons of 'Tony Sacheres Creole Butter Sauce' and then 3 Tablespoons of whatever spice blend you put on your meat, it doesn't matter what you use on the meat but you do need to mix the same spice blend into the sauce, makes it complement each other.

I've always found cooked carrots to be too soft and sweet. I like most veggies steamed so that they're still somewhat crisp.
