  • That's 9^6 combinations, or 531441. Assuming that each combination takes 1 second to input, that's about 147.6225 hours, or 6.15 days straight. assuming he tried combinations for 8 hours a day, that means he would be stuck with the cage for around 18.5 days. (2.6 weeks) Unfortunately due to his massive paws hindering combination inputing, he will most likely not be getting out that soon.

Seriously, between 0 and 9 are 10 possible choices, not 9, so in the end you almost divided posibilites by 2

Bro forgot to count zero as a digit. You don't even need to do exponential math to know 0-999,999 is one million possible combinations.

I dunno about you guys, but personally I don’t want a peenor snipper near my peenor.

Me either, but it sounds preferable to guessing combinations for hours and hours.

  • It's probably the release day of the first Animal Crossing - the combination would include 14 (14th), 12 (December), 01 (2001) - therefore there are 6 logical first attempts - 141201, 140112, 121401, 120114, 011214, 011412.

Unless this is an extremely well made lock you can almost certainly just feel which options are correct - in my experience pulling up on the shackle while trying each digit for each dial will let you feel when the correct digit is in place, as it'll shift minutely. Or probably just shim it open, but y'know.
