    If you've never looked into it, Satanism is honestly fascinating. The original meaning of Satan is simply "the one who goes against", so instead of devil worship it's more of an anti-faith; just grounding yourself and practicing healthy self-reliance.

    You'd certainly never guess that based on the baffling scare campaigns against rock & roll or Dungeon & Dragons back in the day.

    And the modern-day Church of Satan has been doing good work to support the separation of church and state in the U.S.

    (E.g. whenever "faith displays" are allowed on public property, invariably intended for Christian imagery but technically open to all faiths so it doesn't run afoul of the 1st Amendment... these guys show up with a statue of Baphomet ^_^)
